17 - 20) Away back in the 1850s there was a row of small houses between Helen McElroy's new house and the O'Reilly bungalow, which were occupied by Thomas McCaffrey, Edward Rorke, John Reilly and John Bannon. To continue this list we have to go to the end of the village nearest Swanlinbar. Returning from that point on the lay-by we had on our right John Murphy, Mary Hassard, Hugh Reilly, Bridget Stringer, Marks Carty and Owen Farrelly, which brings us back to McElroy's house. Today, on the same stretch of road (or lay-by) we have Peter McGovern, Mrs. Mary Prior, Chris Maguire, Roddy Fee and Hugh Dolan.
