25) Roddy Fee's house was built by John Mitchell and his wife in the mid 1920s. The first tenant was Garda Francis McCrory. Joseph McManus, Creamery Manager, Templeport lived there for many years and with his wife Alice reared their family there, Paul, Cootehill; Maureen, Ratoath; and Rev. Joseph, (RIP) U.S.A. Roddy Fee and wife Mary with two very young children, Jennifer and Rebecca are now the owners of the house.

26) Next door to them, Hugh Dolan and his wife Mary Ellen have taken the place which Owen Farrelly occupied for a long period in the last century. Mrs. Mitchell, Bawnboy built this house about 1930 and it was occupied in turn by P.J. Fitzsimons, woodwork teacher; Liam Lane, N.T. ; the Hegarty family, Michael, now in the high nineties of his years, Mary (RIP) and children Máire, Nenagh; Kitty, Corlurgan; Deirdre and Emer, Cranaghan and Fionnuala, Celbridge. Next occupants were Garda Goff with his wife and son Gerard. Pat will be remembered by the many to whom he introduced cross-country running around the hills of Bawnboy. Today the Dolan Family, Hugh and Mary Ellen live in a very much-improved house and surrounds.

27) The new road across the Lawn opened the way for housing development. The Vocational School, now St. Mogue's College is a wonderful asset to Bawnboy and a large area of Co. Cavan. It was built 1965-66.

28) The forestry house was built about the same time and is now occupied by George Beirne, Alice his wife and children Mairéad, Sinead, Deirdre, Gráinne and George. Previous occupants were John Haughey, Jim Enright, John Keville and John Small.

29) In 1982 the new Garda Station was erected the first occupants being Garda Frank Coll, his wife Patricia (RIP), Seán and Francis. Frank has recently retired and has been replaced by Garda Seán O'Gara from Ballyconnell.

30) Returning to where we started we come to the priest's house which was built in 1966. In 1850, Margaret Burke was the immediate lessor of the old house which was then occupied by Emma Beatty. With the house were eleven acres of land. Father Bernard Fitzpatrick was the first curate to occupy the old house when he came to Templeport in 1875. The house and land became parochial property from that time onwards.
