May I take this opportunity to thank you publicly Heather Bothwell for organising the walk this afternoon and for giving us so much valuable information. If others reading this have not visited your web pages and blog which has so much information and lots of lovely stories I would suggest they do, this is the link: www.bluedamseldiscovery.wordpress.com

I would also recomend that you visit : www.birdwatchireland.ie/Default.aspx?tabid=284 and : ww.cavanbranch.blogspot.com/ Thank you too to Elizabeth Mc Kenna.

This afternoon we spoke about Lisanover and 'Castle-One-Tree'.   Daniel Grosse produced a pen and ink drawing of Templeport Lake and a description of the area in 1835. You can find more information about it and other locations of interest on the Templeport web site at: www.templeport.ie/pages/lisanover-castle.html
