Population Census 1901 & 1911 Links to National Archives |
National Archives Census of Population 1901 and 1911 The 1901 and 1911 censuses are the only surviving full censuses of Ireland available to the public. Both censuses cover the island of Ireland and are available online free of charge. The 1901 census was taken on 31 March 1901. The 1911 census was taken on 2 April 1911. These two censuses are the most useful resources to be found and are used extensively by those researching their family's past. What information does the census contain? What are DEDs? A map of the present Templeport Townlands with their alternative names may be found on the Templeport Development Association web site at: www.templeport.ie/pages/townlands.html |
