Once a Glangevlin man was talking to an old thatcher. The Angelus bell rang and the thatcher struck his breast and said '' The Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Blessed Virgin Mary. '' as that seemed to be all he knew.
he Glangevlin man thought he would have a joke with him and asked '' Do you know from what country the Blessed Virgin came, Paddy? ''
' I don't know, but she was not a Glangevlin woman anyway '' was the answer.

Once a man was going to Ballinamore. He was not sure of the road and when he met a farmer he asked him '' Am I on the main Road to Ballinamore.''
The farmer answered '' Yes, sir
